In an attempt to preserve some symbols and traditions of my heritage, I devised a plan to develop Christmas tree ornaments that reflect a Ukrainian theme. The first few were made on a challenge being that I couldn’t make one hundred within a two month period, which I accomplished. That sparked a change of theme for our Christmas tree last year. This did a couple of things for me: it gave me a chance to see what they would look like on a tree with the greenery, the lights, and the other embellishments, and it also gave me a chance to get feedback from those who saw the finished tree. Friends who saw these ornaments, passed positive comments and convinced me that I should make more of these available to the general public. So with time on my hands because of a partial disability, I set to work…..getting the creations done which follow. Though the genre is similar, each ornament is unique, with none being duplicated, but still being compatible with each other by color, or theme.
